Sorry for not getting the newsletter out last week. My wife and I went on a road trip.
Let's start with 2 weeks ago Paul and Dave and Brett and Matt really had a battle for points over 9 holes,
Paul and Dave parred 3 holes and Matt and Brett Parred 4 holes. Dave and Paul were great off the tees and basically made a few mistakes. The last two holes were very close with the teams splitting the holes in points.
Brett and Matt also were good off the tees just keeping it in the fairway was another issue. Matt nailed a great 2nd shot on the last hole to get him and Brett putting.
Patrick and Nate beat Jeff and Nick. Patrick was nailing off the tees and Nate was keeping his shots safe and on the fairway. Patrick explained that Nate may be the best 2nd player in the league. Meaning he keeps shots safe in case they are needed.
Patrick and Nate parred 5 holes and Birdied 2 holes, great game!
Jeff and Nick were good off the tees and had 4 pars. Jeff explained that his game was off that day. When Jeff is on he is tough to beat. Nick is getting better every week and really helped Jeff in the round.
Last Week:
We were very happy to see Pastor Aaron and his sidekick Noah come out to see how they could play.
Aaron, Noah and Dave shot a very good round with 4 Pars and 2 Birdies. They doubled bogey the 8th hole and a Bogey on the last hole. Dave, Nick and Aaron were bombing their tees and the rest of their game was solid. Noah had great putting to assist the team in their score.
Matt and Nick 3 Pars and 1 Birdy to shoot an excellent round. Matt explained how Nick was slamming the ball off the tee and that they made a great team. Matt is also playing a lot of golf with his son at the course. That may play a factor later in the year!
Anthony and Brett played Patric and Jeff in a showdown. Anthony and Brett parred 6 holes and Birdied 1 hole. Anthony was slamming the tees and Brett was assisting in keeping tees in the fairway when needed.
Anthony was hitting well off the fairway. Brett was actually shipping well. Most of the putting came from Anthony.
Patrick and Jeff parred 6 holes and Birdied 1 hole. They shot an excellent round with both players slamming the ball off the tee and playing the fairways well. The game was tight and lived up to the expectations.
Next week should be a great scoring week with everyone getting their game. SEE YOU THERE
