Great off the tees and all around Game. 2. Dave was mister consistent and weaved his scores to be always at the top. Great all around game and played excellent this year! 3. Jeff, another very consistent player, has a very smooth swing and usually has an all around great game. He was 2nd last year also. 4. Patric, last year's champion, still had an excellent year and always had to play the toughest players weekly. Great off the tees and when he is playing well it is very tough to beat. 5. Me so I will leave it at that! The overall league was the best it has ever been. New comers Nate, Nick, Rich, Bill, Pete, John, Dan and everyone else that came. Pastor Aaron and Noah added a lot of energy and great play on the course. Pastor Gultz got to come out once and was also a very positive influence. The steadfast golfers Byron, Jim, Jim B, Paul, Wyatt, Dan N, Matt D, and of course Dick T. You guys have been there every year and I appreciate it! It's not over though the big end of year tournament is starting Tuesday. I will give you all the details Tuesday night and look forward to finishing this year out Strong. This week is the last week of the regular season and we will start the tournament next week.  There are still people in the mix to win the league. This being the last week I will add some extra points that you can get to help your overall score. That's right every hole you will be able to pick up 3 extra points. I will go over that tomorrow night. Please bring you $20 if you have not if you do not pay no issue it is funding the dinner in a few weeks.  The slate goes to 0 after the league points are done for the tournament. Teams will be picked and the tournament will be 2 weeks. Let's go over the games and scores  Rich and Nick Shot a 44 with 2 par's Nick said they had a great game. The biggest issues were holes 10 and 18. Their Tees looked really good! They had 20 points  They played Bill, Matt and Peter who shot a 37 6 par's and 1 birdie. Matt said it was one of the best rounds he had played. Bill was smashing it off the tees and Peter also had a great round! Getting 35 points  The next game consisted of David and Jeff versus Andy and Dick Close game here   David and Jeff shot a 38 with 6 pars and 1 birdie. They both have smooth swings and compliment each other in their games. Both great off the tees, fairways and Greens. They got 35 points  Dick and Andy shot a 36 with 6 par's and 1 birdie Dick chipped in on the 12th hole to help get a birdie. Andy slammed them off the tees and Dick had a good all around game. They got 31 points  Next game was also close with Byron and Jim and Dan and Jim Byron and Jim shot a 40 with 4 par's and 1 Birdie. Jim was slamming the ball and playing well. Byron helped with his assistance. They had a great game with 32 points  Dan and Jim shot a 44 Dan said Jim should keep his head down and they would have done better. They had 4 par's and 21 points Lastly Brett and Patrick against Anthony and John   Brett and Patrick shot a 39 and had 7 Par's. Patric was slamming some tees and Brett was struggling in all areas except on 3 holes. Patric hit a 40 footer on 14 to save par. Patric was putting well they had 26 points Patric and Andy lit it up except on the 10th hole with 4 pars 3 birdies and 1 eagle. YIKES they shot a -2 34. Anthony was slamming the tees and when he missed John slammed the tees. They simply did not have any weakness in their game and smoked Brett and Patric with a record 49 points!  There you have another exciting week in golf!!!!! July 26 th 2020 The World vs. The Word (Ephesians 2:1-3; 1 John 2:15; John 1:1-5,14; Habakkuk 1:9-11; Matthew 13:22, 16:24-26; Ecclesiastes 2:24- 26, 5:10-11; Luke 12:27-34; 1 Timothy 6:17 Are you a little down right now? Frustrated with your life, or even feeling ashamed of what you have or have not accomplished? You may be listening to the voice of the world in your head. Wrapped in self-help language or encouraging you to “Seize the day!”, the world creates a false hope of success based on a false premise of reality. The world’s way of thinking ultimately leads to anxiety and hopelessness. But there is a better way. Let us explore the contrast between the way of the World and the way of the Word and find hope for a future that will allow you to be at peace no matter how turbulent the times. Golf Cart discussion: Hole 1. What does “carpe diem” mean to you? How can this be a good motto and how can it be a negative one? Hole 3. Read through the Scriptures mentioned in the Bible Study once again (they are listed at the top). For each one, how does it illustrate the lies of the world and/or the truth of the Word? Hole 5. Is there something you are anxious, angry, or hopeless about? Is the voice of the world having an impact on how you are feeling? Share that with the group. 7. Commit to calling your partner or someone in need this week to check in, and to speak the truth of the Word into what they are struggling with
